Love Ramble
Love, Hmmm what exactly is love?
It's certainly a magic four letter word like, work or fuck.
I'm curious in what it actually means though. It's one of the biggest commitments and life altering emotions you will ever engage in, but the problem is the agreement in which you both verbally sign by saying the big "L word"(not lesbian) is inherently flawed.
What is your idea or view of love ? Is it the same as your partners ? Is it a Disney style fantasy or is it based in gritty realism ?
How can such a commitment be made when the definition of love has such a diverse meaning from person to person?
Right enough of the questions and pondering bullshit. My interpretation of love has changed drastically compared to my formative years, as a younger gent I believed love to be a other worldly connection with a one off individual that you would meet by pure chance and fall madly deeply in love with.
Now this does happen, but it is simply an ideology that you both have picked up from a plethora of sources, that can be books, parent relationships or films. Following these fairytale tracks set for both of you, and jumping on the love juggernaut (my new nickname) will get you somewhere in a relationship but eventually that train will derail and that's when shit gets tricky as a carnival game.
Well these days, to me love is a connection to something pure and eternal. It's a mini retreat from the troubles of the world and your own mental anguish, you feel lost in love. It's true form of escapism where you can lose yourself and feel at one with the universe. I do question however why?
I think to myself why do we fall in love when we do and why do we reserve it for one person, and why that specific person?
We always here of people just simply falling in love, out of the blue and unexpectedly, but what made you fall in love with that person is the question that gets me.
Eff' it, lets get freaky.......
We can fall in love with the world and everyone in it, why fall in love with one persons in-perfections when we can fall in love with the worlds.
